10th EPIC Birthday Sale Round-Up
Hey Sellers! We hope you achieved great sales numbers during our Lazada EPIC 10th Birthday Sale earlier last month on 27 March!
Every month, Lazada connects about one million selling sellers to over 150 million consumers on our platform. After a long time of planning, in which we want to strive for a balance in benefit for both our Lazada sellers and consumers, the birthday sale has some amazing numbers for the platform and brands in general.
In just under two minutes from the launch of our EPIC sale, 10,000 items were sold! The lucky 10,000th product is none other than the Lazada x Issey Miyake Surprise Box!
To make sure that they received the most discounts from the sale, many of our shoppers already have items in their carts, waiting to check out once the clock strikes 12. Having your stores adequately stocked with product information written out clearly before the sale period will help shoppers in their pre-sale shopping.
Surprise boxes are also very well-loved by Lazada’s shoppers, especially during huge campaigns such as this birthday sale. Many brands were able to capture the attention of new users, converting them into their brand’s fans after the initial introduction via Lazada’s surprise boxes.
Digital vouchers on Lazada are very popular amongst our users and we are thankful to all the brands who continue to offer e-vouchers via our app. Encik Tan’s Curry Drumstick Rice Set digital voucher is the most popular e-voucher during this EPIC sale!
We have also observed a 66 TIMES sales uplift in the first 10 minutes of the birthday sale on 27 March as compared to normal days!
We have more consumers on the app during the EPIC sale, and more spending was done during this sale period. Many sellers were able to convert window shoppers into spending customers, increasing their sales on this day.
Top Sales by Categories
We will now look into the top-selling brands by category during the Lazada EPIC 10th Birthday Sale, and we hope this will aid sellers in your future campaigns.
Over in the fashion and clothing categories, which continue to see a boom in sales especially as Singapore is opening up, Timberland takes the lead in Fashion and Nike for Sportswear.
Vans, Taka Jewellery, The North Face, and American Tourister come in second to fifth in sales during our EPIC sale. Familiar sportswear brands Skechers, Under Armour, Asics, and Adidas, trail behind Nike, taking up the second to fifth spots respectively in the Sportswear category.
When it comes to mobile sales, consumers continue to place their trust in Lazada to deliver the best discounts and service as Samsung takes the top spot for best selling mobile brand. Xiaomi, Oppo, Huawei, and Vivo follow closely behind in the second to fifth places.
In the Audio category, Sonos continues to reign as the chosen audio brand amongst Lazada consumers. Premium audio brands Bose and Marshall are the second and fifth best-selling on the list, with Sony and Powerhouse taking the third and fourth spots respectively.
In Home & Living, we see Grohe, which specialises in bathroom appliances, leading the category. Epitex, a brand known for home linen and bedding accessories, and Osim, famous for their wellness equipment, take the second and third spots respectively. Hinomi and ErgoEdge round up the best selling brands list in the Home & Living category.
Last but not least, we look at the appliances that Lazada’s customers bought during the EPIC 10th Birthday Sale.
In the Large Appliances & TV category, Prism+ promotion continues to hit the sweet spot amongst consumers, ranking top in sales during the campaign. Familiar brands, Samsung, Bosch, Panasonic, and TCL take up the second to fifth places in the best selling Large Appliances & TV category.
Over in the Small Appliance category, we have Dyson defeating the other brands and emerging as the top-selling brand. Philips, Ecovacs, Ninja, and Roborock’s promotion during the EPIC 10th Birthday Sale were also successful in converting sales for their brands as they take up the second to fifth spots.
