11.11 Our Biggest One-Day Sale, took only 15 minutes before it hit the S$11 million sales milestone! Both 11.11 and 12.12, All Out Year-End Sale, have both seen amazing statistics and sales for our sellers across the board! We hope this recap can help you in planning your sales target and initiatives for 2023.

11.11 Recap

The top 3 categories that outsold the rest during 11.11 were Hair Care, Supplements, and Bath & Body. We have shoppers with full carts ready before 11.11, checking out once the clock hits 12 to bag the greatest discounts during the Mega Campaign.

The category that saw the biggest growth during 11.11 is groceries. It should not come as a surprise, seeing that inflation is at an all-time high and local supermarket see price increments in everything. Hopping onto Lazada to get groceries become something that a lot of online shoppers turn to. Amongst the goods sold, we see people carting out seafood, frozen & fresh meat, and frozen fruits the most!

In terms of best-selling brands, we have made a compilation of the nine different categories, with their top 3 best-selling brands.

12.12 Recap

When it comes to the final Mega Campaign of 2022, our 12.12 All Out Year-End Sale sees a huge number of Christmas-related items being snagged as everyone prepares for the holiday. Whether it is for Secret Santa or stocking stuffing, Lazada’s shoppers made sure they have what they needed for Christmas during the 12.12 sale. Orders received during the first hour on 12.12 exceeded the total orders on an average day on Lazada!

Furthermore, for the first 12 hours of the sale, 300 surprise boxes were sold every hour! This spans a wide range of categories, from Skincare to Audio, to Home & Living, and more.

During the 12.12 Mega Sale, we saw a vastly different change in most popular categories when compared to 11.11. We have more people carting out Personal Care, Beverages, Groceries, and Health than other categories during our year-end sales.

12.12 Trends

The 12.12 Year-End Sale that took place from 12-14 December also saw some fascinating trends across Southeast Asia.

On Lazada, two make-up and skincare products are sold every second across the three-day event! In Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam, we also delivered the 1212th order within 12 hours, making sure customers get their goods as soon as possible.

With how enticing Flash Sales products are on an average day, we can only imagine how much more attractive they are to buyers during Mega Campaigns. Flash Sales is an initiative that is very popular with both sellers and buyers, and you can know more about it by checking with your Key Account Manager. This successful mechanism is evident during the 12.12 sales where we have 1 in 4 products sold being from Lazada’s Flash Sales in the first two hours.

With the year-end holidays going in full force, many are looking to head out for some rest and relaxation with family. Finally, we look at trending items sold during 12.12. Over in Singapore, the rainy weather made umbrellas a sought-after product during sales. In Indonesia, hijabs topped the list. The hot and humid weather in the Philippines made summer shorts a must-have, and Vietnam Lazada shoppers snagged summer flip-flops instead. Malaysia sees hairclips in huge demand, and lightweight face masks continue to be Thai shoppers’ must-have.

12.12 Best-Selling Brands

Last but not least, we bring you Singapore’s best-selling brands for 12.12 in 18 different categories! We hope these precious insights can help our sellers in planning their future campaigns to unlock greater sales for their brands.

In Smart Wearables, Garmin and their smartwatches lead the pack, and Logitech’s great campaigns during 12.12 see the brand topped the Electronic Accessories category.

PRISM+ continues to top the TV category after their successful 11.11 campaign, and over in Large Appliances, Samsung took the crown. Similar to 11.11’s Mega Campaign, Dyson is the best-selling brand in Small Appliances category.

 

In Audio category, Sonos continue to be the most sought-after brand on Lazada, coming in top in both 11.11 and 12.12. A new category, Cameras, see Insta360 takes home the best-selling title.

With a great number of attractive discounts in the Computers & Laptops category for 12.12, Acer comes in the top in best-selling brands amongst familiar competitors. Samsung, which topped the Large Appliances category, also topped the Mobile category during the All Out Year-End Sale.

Next, we look at Fashion, Sportswear, and Beauty. American Tourister’s great initiatives see them topped the Fashion category this 12.12. For Sportswear and Beauty, both Nike and Estee Lauder continue their supremacy respectively, topping the categories in both 11.11 and 12.12 Mega Campaigns. Over in Health category Kinohimitsu takes reigns.

Over in Grocery, a well-loved beer brand, Carlsberg, is the best-selling brand for 12.12. WALCH tops the Household Supplies category, Epitex takes the crown for Home & Living.

Last but not least, we look at Diapers and Infant Nutrient. Many parents relish the discounts from Lazada’s 12.12 Mega Campaign to stock up on baby products. Rascal + Friends took home the best-selling brand in Diapers category, and Nestle NAN topped the Infant Nutrient category.
